My case was dismissed. Why is it still on my report?

Federal and State laws determine what kind of records or violations are reportable. Checkr does not make this determination.

In many states, non-convictions can be reported for up to seven years. Different states vary with what is considered a non-conviction. Such records may include the following dispositions:

  • Dismissed
  • Nolle prosse
  • Deferred adjudication
  • Pre-trial diversion
